Be sure to shake well before using Akamai Skin Fuel to distribute the the Fulvic Acid concentrate.
Unlike lotions that are mostly water Akamai Skin Fuel is concentrated so a little goes a long way. To help spread over a larger body area – try wetting your hands first or applying them to damp skin after showering.
Each bottle contains 286 pumps – our 60-day supply gives you approximately 4-5 pumps per day.
Use it to clean your skin (oil cleansing) - rub serveral pumps over your face, eyes, etc (to remove makeup), then put a warm washcloth over your face to steam, gently wipe off the skin fuel (and any makeup). Apply more Skin Fuel if needed (depending on your skin type).
Use it to exfoliate your skin - put several pumps of Skin Fuel in your palm and add some baking soda to make a paste - apply gently to wet skin (face and/or body), using circular motions. Rinse and then apply more Skin Fuel.
Tips
Our handle holds up well in the shower, however storing it outside of the shower will allow it, and more importantly the blade, to properly dry. Like any wooden utensil, it should not soak in water.
Replace the head with a Gillette Mach3 blade.
Tips
Moisturize after dry brushing - along with dead skin Dry Brushing (exfoliating) removes our body's natural oils. The skin needs its oil replenished. Keep in mind that lotions are mostly water with a small % of oil (and contain preservatives that are bad for the biome). Applying an oil, like Skin Fuel while you are still in the shower will help lock in moisture.
Don't use soap! Water only - using soap with a dry brush (even ours) will dry out your skin.
Like a toothbrush, a dry brush should be replaced when you see signs of wear. Bristles eventually start to relax (or bend over time). depending on the usage every 6 months to 12 months.
For proper care and longevity:
Store your brush outside of the shower and away from moisture.
Wash your brush every week with a gentle, natural soap (like our 3 in 1 Bar). A mixture of baking soda and water works well too.
Try a hot and cold shower following your dry brushing session. Known as balneotherapy, or hydrotherapy, it has been shown to boost your immune system and “rev” your circulatory system. - in fact, this ancient technique has proven, beneficial effects on your entire body.
Don’t forget the armpits when you dry brush! There are lots of lymph nodes there (axillary nodes) that greatly benefit from stimulation/detoxifying. The armpits and groin have the greatest concentration of lymph nodes.
Tips
Apply directly to the face, with special attention on the nose, cheeks, and lips for some protection from sun, wind or environmental extremes.
Mix a dab of Bioactive Black Balm with a squirt of Skin Fuel to spread the balm over larger surfaces. This works very well for the face and body.
Great for burns of any kind - sun, heat, etc.
Can be used anywhere you have dry skin - face or body.
Makes a great hair pomade for styling or on dry ends.
Can help calm rashes and inflammation.
Tips
Over washing of skin can remove good, useful bacteria and dry your skin out. We think it is wise to rinse more and only soap up where you really need it (the stinky parts). Rinse more, soap less.
Travel, Outdoor and Camping Friendly. Our multipurpose, natural soap can be used for all of your on-the-go washing needs, even your mess kit and clothing—100% biodegradable, earth-friendly ingredients.
One Akamai 3 in 1 Bar will likely last one person 60 days with typical use.
Transitioning from regular shampoo to our Akamai 3 in 1 Bar
If you’ve been using a shampoo free of detergents (SLS/SLES) then you’ll have no problem using our all-natural soap right away with good results. However, if your shampoo (or soap) contains detergents, your scalp will continue its cycle of overproducing oil to offset the stripping effects. This can result in oilier hair for a short time. So keep in mind it might take a week or two for your scalp to adjust to this gentler approach. A rinse of water and apple cider vinegar (or water and lemon juice) mixed 4 to 1, can help with the transition.
Tips
Establish a solid flossing routine. Here’s what works for us.
Try to do it at the same time, every day.
Miss a day (or several)? Floss at your next designated time. Don’t beat yourself up.
Make a visual reminder. Keep your floss on your bathroom sink, in your purse, or car console.
Don’t run out. Just like a core supplement, this good habit can die if you run out. (Consider subscribing to our spool refill as a reminder for yourself —“It's gonna keep coming and I want to do this daily”).
While flossing, remember that this simple task can support whole body health and remove bacteria that contributes to bad breath.
Haven’t flossed in a while? Like with our tongue cleaner, use the appearance and the smell (yikes!) of what you remove as inspiration to keep it up. Yep, it’s kinda gross, however, it does provide great inspiration to make flossing a part of your daily oral hygiene routine. So, get on it and get it out of your mouth daily!
Tips
Brush gently at a 45-degree angle using a light circular motion, paying close attention to getting under the gumline.
Instruction on how to use a toothbrush? Really? Well...yes. Most of us were only shown once by a dentist or hygienist as a kid. And those instructions may have missed two key parts — the angle to hold the brush and the optimal brush to use.
Unlike most toothbrushes, our toothbrush encourages a light touch. Its shorter handle is designed to be held by just a few fingers vs a fist. Subtle, but important. And with an intentional design of fewer bristles — ours has 192 bristles vs the hundreds (sometimes thousands) found in typical brushes — it is far more effective at cleaning under the gumline.
Fingertip control encourages a lighter touch and offers greater precision. This makes it easier to direct the toothbrush head throughout your mouth and along the gumline where many oral health issues occur if not properly cared for.
Tips
Start slowly with just a few drops, then add up to the suggested amount.
Use topically – help heal and relieve bee stings, bug bites, and cuts. Add a few drops to a mister to create a simple, powerful way to trans-dermally feed the cells in your face with a powerful nutrient.
DIY electrolyte – Add 1 pinch of Himalayan sea salt (or another quality salt) and 1 pinch of Epsom salts to a water bottle along with 5 drops of Fulvic Mineral Complex. Add fresh citrus and maple syrup for bonus nutrients (and flavor) if desired.
Many companies water their Fulvic Mineral products down – we don’t. Want an easy way to spot these
Tips
If you start to feel like there is too much oil in your mouth, spit some of it out and keep swishing.
After oil pulling and rinsing, clean the back of your tongue using a tongue cleaner. This will pull up any toxins collected at the back of the tongue during the night. Instead of swallowing these toxins with your drinks, bring them up and scrape them out.
Try oil pulling as you shower - it’s a great way to work it into your morning routine. Plus, the length of time spent in the shower will help you reach the 5 -15 minutes we recommend for an oil pulling session.
If you feel nauseous while oil pulling, try it on an empty stomach.
Tips
Want inspiration to get into a tongue-cleaning routine? Try smelling the coating of what you removed from your tongue. While it seems gross, one whiff provides great inspiration to make tongue cleaning a part of your daily oral hygiene routine. (Try the same tip with our Infused Floss)
Milky tongue? Coated? Red? Our tongues are gateways to our health, pay attention - it might be telling you something.
Rather than buying a cheap or poorly made tongue cleaner, buy a good one, and it will last you the rest of your life.
A dry mouth allows odor-producing oral bacteria to flourish. Drinking more water during the day can help by rinsing away food in the mouth, and preventing bacterial growth.
Contrary to popular belief, most mouthwashes do not cure bad breath. They also disrupt your oral microbiome by killing both good and bad bacteria. As reported by The Huffington Post, in 2008, the Better Business Bureau determined that no mouthwash is allowed to claim fresh breath for more than an hour.

Tips
Brushing your teeth is a great time to slow down. If you normally rush, try brushing a bit slower, in a circular motion, and intentionally focusing on areas that might need special attention. It's great for your oral health, and easy on your bathroom since it also cuts down on toothpaste splatter. Try our Bamboo Bass Toothbrush.
Spit, don't rinse. The longer you leave our re-mineralizing toothpowder in your mouth, the more nutrients will be absorbed.
Recommended and safe for sensitive teeth. Most sensitive teeth formulas contain a lot of glycerin to coat the teeth and reduce sensitivity. Unfortunately, glycerin can also reduce the remineralization process, which is part of the CURE for sensitive teeth, along with reducing acidity in the mouth and body. Be patient, it may take time for the sensitivity to go away - if it doesn't, speak with your dentist or doctor to understand any underlying issue (eg, gut health).
Have bad breath? Try our Tongue Cleaner. If you want a fresher feeling after brushing, do a second round - just put more powder in your mouth and swish it around like a mouthwash (no need to brush).
Looking to optimize your oral care routine? Take Fulvic Mineral Complex to feed your teeth and gums from the inside out with plant based based highly absorbable minerals. This has been a game changer for us and thousands more.
Reuse your glass jar by filling it with our Toothpowder Refill (in compostable packets). If you have extra jars you can recycle them by removing the labels and lid liners. Or even better, wash and reuse it - great in the kitchen or bathroom to store anything from homemade jams to baking soda (to use as a scrub on your skin - add some skin fuel to baking soda and gently exfoliate your skin!).
