Why does the Mineral Toothpowder taste so much better?

We believe the improved taste (from the previous toothpaste to our new toothpowder) stems from the addition of baking soda.

Baking soda was added to increase alkalinity, and frankly, we were a bit (pleasantly) surprised that the taste improved. As with all of our products, we consider things like taste, color, and texture to be superficial qualities and a byproduct of the carefully chosen ingredients we use. Unlike most personal care companies, these superficial qualities are not our endgame.
