Are Akamai products made in the USA?
Yes. Our products are formulated, produced, and filled in the USA.
We make everything in small batches at our U.S. facility to ensure freshness, quality, and purity.
Do you use any imported ingredients?
Yes. Some of our ingredients come from around the world. We source based on purity, potency, and environmental integrity — not geography. To stay fully compliant with FTC rules, we use this clear, accurate statement: “Made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients.”
What about packaging? Is it made in the USA?
Some of our packaging — such as glass jars, bottles, or metal lids — is sourced internationally. High-quality U.S. packaging options for these items are extremely limited or unavailable. Because the FTC requires “all or virtually all” components to be U.S.-made for an unqualified claim, we do not use “Made in USA” without clarification.
Why not only use U.S.-made ingredients and packaging?
Our priority is best-in-class ingredients and minimal, sustainable packaging.
In many cases, the purest and most effective ingredients come from specific regions around the world (for example: oils from the Mediterranean, clays from ancient mineral beds, or butters from Africa). We never compromise on quality or purity.
What is your official sourcing statement?
We use the following language across our brand for accuracy and compliance:
“Formulated and packaged in the USA using globally sourced ingredients and materials.”
Do imported ingredients affect quality?
No. In fact, many of the world’s highest-quality natural ingredients come from regions where they grow best. Every ingredient — domestic or international — is third-party tested for purity and safety.
